Komment
: This is the normal version of the extension where all extension files are included in the ZIP you upload. On Qlik SaaS Qlik can take some time to internalize the extension so users are sometimes faced with a need to refresh their browser a few times before the extension appears.
Komment-Remote
: This version of Komment has many of the extension files hosted on and Extend BI AWS instance. This makes the installed extension much more light-weight and much faster for Qlik to load and hence, show to the user.
There are no functional differences between the two versions. Reach out to info@extendbi.com if you have any questions in relation to this or if you would like to have the remote version made available to you.
After you have uploaded the Komment extension via the QMC you need to make a small change to the content security setup. So navigate to the menu item Content Security Policy => In the top right corner press Add => In the Directive section select connect-src and connect-src (web-socket). In the Origin write extendbi-admin-service.extendbiapp.com
. You can provide a name of your own choice - e.g. 'ExtendBI license service'. Finish by pressing Add.
This policy will ensure that Komment can check the validity of your license against our license server.
If you have uploaded the "Remote" version of Komment, you will need to add the below policy. So navigate to the menu item Content Security Policy => In the top right corner press Add => In the Directive section select connect-src, font-src, img-src, script-src and style-src. In the Origin write cdn.extendbiapp.com
. You can provide a name of your own choice - e.g. 'ExtendBI CDN'. Finish by pressing Add.
This policy will ensure that you Qlik can read the extension files hosted on an Extend BI AWS instance
